Arapahoe Tent Crusade
The tent crusade at Arapahoe, Colorado was great!  We saw several people saved, attendance grew, and the meals and fellowship was tremendous.  This was our first tent meeting with Tom Burch, pastor of Arapahoe Community Church.  We met Tom over 25 years ago at a Cowboy Camp Meeting in Colorado, and since then he has had us at his church a few times.  Always, he has his people ready for a great meeting!   We were joined by Jack and Carolyn Martin who prepared the Dutch Oven Cooked meals and Jack preached for us on Saturday evening.  Doing the music was Joe and Zoretta Ornby and their grand daughter Amber.  They done a great job, everyone liked the music program!
One of the pictures show the tent arrangement, and a horse tied to a hitch'in post.  The lady that rode the horse in on Friday evening was a lost woman, but thank the Lord, before she left the tent, she got saved,!!  Iit was a great evening.  She and four others walked the isle for Jesus that evening!  It is so good to see lives changed and to be with church people that invite, pray and work to see that a meeting is sucessful!  Thanks again Bro. Tom Burch, we look forward to being with you and your folks again, if the Lord allows!
Another of the picture shows some of 028.JPGthe folks eating.  Thanks to all who pray for us and support us in these meetings!  Your reward is in heaven, thanks so very, very much!021.JPG025.JPG

First Baptist Church, Balmorhea, Texas
Mary and I made a trip to be with the fine folks of FBC, Balmorhea, Texas.  We arrived last Saturday and conducted 5 Bible Study sessions.  We say thanks those that faithfully attended, and we know some made some real sacrifices in time to be in the service each evening.  As so often with Bible Study times, we had fewer attend than BalmorheaMay2011011.JPGBalmorheaMay2011007.JPGBalmorheaMay2011005JPG.JPGwe would have liked, but are very thankful for those that did.
Pictures are of two of the people that did some special music for us, and of the church building.  If you are ever in Balmorhea, drop in and visit with the fine folks.
We left Balmorhea, Texas on Wednesday evening after service and drove all night to be with the Youth Group that meets in Steve Brinker's home on Thursday evenings.  We had a great time with them last night and presented a Bible Study time on how to deal with temptations that come in the lives of Christians.  Our thanks to Steve and his mother Oma Brinker for using their home for ministry to these young people.  We had a good group there, I guess there were well over a dozen total.
On another subject, and we will be sharing more as time goes on, but SCM has agreed to be a part of a new organization that is launching their work on July 1, 2011.  It is called Christianity Television and will be airing programs 24 hours per day via the Internet.  It sounds exciting and we will be telling you more about this as time goes on.  Right now, our time slot will be every Friday at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, CDT.   We appreciate your prayers as we record our services to be aired each week.
God bless each of you for your faithfulness in checking our site, we love you and look forward to seeing what God will do with the work that is ahead!

Additional Picture from Cleo Springs, OK
Wanted to add this picture below, but forgot!  My "forgetter"May2011017JPG.JPG sure works well at times!
It is a picture of Bob Whitechurch, along with Babara the pianist, and Delmar who came the last two evenings to help with the music.  They all were such a blessing to the meeting!

Tent Meeting at Cleo Springs, Oklahoma
May2011003JPG.JPGCleoSpringsOKMay2011023JPG.JPGCleoSpringsOKMay2011016JPG.JPGcleospringsokmay2011011JPG.JPGMary and I arrived back home this afternoon from Cleo Springs, Oklahoma.  The First Baptist Church had us tent up our tent on the town square and we had a very successful meeting.  Attendance grew every service!  God saved souls, changed lives and sent some very much needed refreshing cool rain to the parched area!  Tent meetings seem to do attract rain!!!
Pastor Charles Newton just recently was called there and he is doing a tremendous job in the area!  He is one of those old time pastors that still visits in the homes and mixes with the people in town!  The ladies of the church fed us each evening and they were so full of joy that it could not help but be contagious!!
Bobby and Donna Whitchurch led music, it was a great time and we thank the wonderful folks for supporting the meeting even when it was 103 degrees and 30 mph winds!  It did cool off yesterday and last night at service time it was 64 degrees!
The week was good, on Saturday evening we attended the city fire department's hog roast, and it was a good time!  You can see Mary with Sparky the fire dog!!
Pictures are of the tent and congregation, of Charles Newton, Pastor, and of Babara and Delmar, who helped Bob with the music!
We were so blessed by these wonderful folks, now we head out in the morning to Balmorhea, Texas!  This will be our second trip there this year, pray for us as we minister to the fine folks down that way!!!
