Antelope Valley Baptist Church, Gillette, Wyoming

service.JPGovandtommy.JPGpastorumsey.JPGFirst we want to thank Pastor Doug Rumsey and his wonderful family, and all the great folks at Antelope Valley Baptist.   They welcomed us with open arms, treated us great!
This meeting was a church revival, more than an evangelistic crusade, and that is what the pastor had been praying for.  When we arrived, we were told by several folks that at past meetings the attendance was never more than 30-35 people, so they expected about the same at this tent meeting!  The first service under the tent was Sunday evening, we had over 80 in attendance, and averaged about 75 per night!  We saw several come to the alter during the week, but as far as we know, there was maybe one saved.  We are praying with the very good attendance, and the sweet spirit and fellowship we experienced, the church will be blessed as a result of the tent meeting.
We were blessed to be able to work again with the Keiths, and thank the Lord that O.V. is doing so well with the cancer.
The pictures are of pastor Doug Rumsey, of O.V. and Tommy Keith singing, and of one of the services.
Thanks again to everyone for your prayers.  Mary and I will be traveling to Hasty, Colorado tomorrow, and start a tent meeting there on Saturday evening.

Deer Trail Meeting

This was our second trip to Deer Trail for a meeting at the Rodeo Grounds.  Deer Trail was the home of the worlds first rodeo, held in 1869.  We just finished the meeting last night.   God truly blessed with souls saved every service except one.  Jim and Shirley Hayes from White Oak, Oklahoma made the trip and provided the meals for this meeting.  Mary help them and everyone raved about how great the food  was, and enjoyed the fish fry on Tuesday evening tremendously!!!  O.V and Tommy provided the music and again, the folks expressed over and over how much they appreciated the old hymns that were sung each evening.   There are some places it is more difficult than others to preach but Deer Trail was such a blessing with people responding to the simple Gospel.  They treated us very well, provided for us and were such a blessing in faithfulness to the meeting.   Our thanks to both pastors and churches that supported the meeting,  Bro. Rolph Grosser, from First Baptist, and Bro Dean Shepherd from Grace Baptist.  Both of these men are to commended for the work and efforts their churches put forth.   Just wanted to give a special thanks to Zeb and Sue and to Carl and Deloris for making sure we had everything we needed!
The pictures are of the stadium and of the food line, and folks eating before the evening serviceStadium.JPGDeerTrailchowline.JPG.

Moline Community Fellowship, Moline, Kansas

molinemea.JPGmoline.JPGBoles.JPGMary and I just finished a meeting at a small church, but one that has a very big heart!  The congregation may not number large, but believe me, those folks love Jesus and the work of the Lord!  They gave us one of the largest love offerings we have received this year!  Our prayer is for God to bless them tremendously for their love and care.
We had a three day meeting, presenting our God and Cournty Powerpoint program and these folks were really intrested in the presentation and were very faithful in attendance.
The pictures are of the pastor and his wife, Gary and Dianne Boles, then a group of us that went out to eat, and one of the services.   Please keep these folks in your prayers, and we look forward to seeing them all again one day soon!

This week, we traded our old truck for a new one, the uncertainty of the old one was a becoming a major concern.  With nearly 100,000 miles we knew it was about to go out of warranty and the Lord provided a way for us to trade before we make our long trip to Colorado and Wyoming this week.  This truck is not equipped as well as the other, but it is just fine.  We just got it today, and in checking the mileage, it is already getting about 30% better than the old one!  It is just amazing to see the average mpg gauge say 17.0 when on the same roads, the old one read 13.0 mpg.  Now this week we will see what it does with the trailer!  We thank you all and the Lord for your prayers and care for us!  Praying for our work is so important to us, and God hears and blesses, Praise Be To His Name!!!!   Catch you all next week with an update to how the truck does, and the meeting at Deer Trail, Colorado!

First Baptist Church, Rogerson, ID

FBCRogerson087.JPGGrindstaffamily093.JPGMary and I are on our way home as we post this.  We finished up the tent meeting at First Baptist Church, Rogerson, ID yesterday at noon.   God blessed once again with a mother of four coming to Christ!  There were a couple of other that indicated they prayed to receive the Lord but failed to come forward and make it public.  Our pray is for them to realize that Jesus said we must confess Him before men.
Thanks to David Grindstaff, his wife Deborah, and their children who sang some specials.  Thanks to Judy Grindstaff and "Grandma" for their faithfulness and food provided!  Attendance was good for the services.   We had been with David's dad, Dean Grindstaff, who was the pastor at Jackpot Baptist before passing away a few years ago.  The Grindstaffs are a very committed family to the work God has called them too in the mission fields of Idaho.  I know they will appreciate your prayers for them.
Again, our thanks to Jeff and Donna Gore for making the trip with us, they always do a great job in the music and preparing the people for the message from God's Word.  We have been invited back again next year by both the Moore's and FBC, Rogerson, so we are excited and expecting the Lord to bless once again!
We plan on being home tomorrow, and then have a lot to get done before we leave again for Deer Trail, Colorado and Gillette, Wyoming in a few days.
Thanks for everyone's prayers and support.  We just checked our mileage and we have put on over 3000 miles since we left and still have 500 miles to go before we get home.
