Tent Meeting at the McCrary Farm

mcrarytent.JPGLast night we finished a tent meeting on the McCrary Farm, near Twin Oaks, Oklahoma.  Don and Kathryn had a vision to conduct this meeting on their farm located several miles off the main road, in a very remote location.  Some were saying no one would come because of the rough roads and distance from the highway.  They were wrong!  We had crowds over over 70 people, great meals, good Gospel singing, and we had great freedom in preaching the Word of God!  We had at least 5 saved, some re-dedications and people were truly revived!  It just proves the point again, revivals work, if you pray, plan and promote!  Thanks to Don and Kathryn for their vision and obedience to God's direction!  They worked hard, spent a lot of money to see this was done, churches around the area supported their efforts in attendance, and helping with food and labor!  Praise the Lord for a great meeting!!!  The pictures tell the story, food, music and message, with great fellowship, souls saved and lives changed!

Last night, we finished a great Tent Crusade in Jennings, Oklahoma.  This was the third or fourth time we have been invited to preach this areas Five Church Crusade and each time God has tremendously blessed!  This year was no exception, we have 15 souls saved, one was a man who will turn 86 years old this Saturday!  PTL!!  Each evening the attendance grew and last night we had almost every chair filled!  Each service souls were saved and lives were touched by the hand of God.   Jack and Carolyn Martin joined us and provided meals on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, as always they were great.  Jack also did a morning Bible Study, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Robert Annet led music and it was moving, touching and everyone was blessed by the old hymns and the way he conducted the music portion of the services.
We were joined by our good friends, Leon and Bonnie Landrum, who brought their trailer and stayed the week with us there.  They were such a blessing and encouragement to everyone and great workers, always helping where they could.  One evening, Leon saw some children playing in a yard, went to visit them and their mother, inviting them to the meeting.  They came and the mother and some of her children were saved!  PTL!!!
Mark Compton, his wife Triva and their children were such a blessing.  They were some of the hardest workers we have seen.
We thank all five of the Baptist Churches involved, from Jennings, Hallet, Maramac, Osage and Blackburn.  Five great pastors, and congregations all working together in unity, reaching their areas for Jesus Christ.  There were several other churches that also came and supported the meetings, FBC of Terlton,  as well as some from Tulsa, Drumright, and Cleveland, OK.  Each evening new people were present.
Mary and I just want to thank all those that prayed, supported and helped with the meeting.  Space was limited and a special thanks to Miss Doris, who graciously provided Mary and I a place to park our trailer, using her electric, water while in the meetings.  She is a very sweet lady and a precious member of FBC of Jennings, OK.   May God have all the glory, honor and praise for what He has done!!!
Pictures are of the meeting, plus one of Bonnie and Carolyn.setupjennings.jpgjenningstent.jpgbonnieandcarolyn.jpg

LABOR DAY MEETING AND SCM BUSINESS MEETING

MinistryMeetings2011094.JPGMinistryMeetings2011110.JPGMinistryMeetings2011068.JPGSCM just finished the Labor Day Camp Out Meeting held at the Lenapah Cowboy Camp Grounds, on the Williamson Ranch, near Lenapah, Oklahoma.  It was a great time in the Lord with some of the greatest people around!  On Friday evening we conducted or annual SCM Business Meeting with 72 present.  From there, we held the Cowbell Preaching Event on Saturday evening, and it was tremendous.  We had over 100 in attendance and some of the people there said it was the most refreshing, up lifting and moving meeting they have attended in years!  We had 10 camping units, with people on the grounds from Wednesday thru today at noon!  With several Bible Studies thrown in, and fellowship meals, everyone had a great time.
For me, it was maybe the most spiritual uplifting meeting we have attended in years!  We were encouraged, challenged, and prayed for as Mary and I continue our work.  On Friday evening, a fish fry was conducted for everyone, with several people helping him.  We had Jack and Carolyn Martin and their son Rowdy come and prepare a Dutch Oven Cooked meal for Saturday evening and it was also a great hit!  It was several days of heaven here on earth!!!
Pictures show the meal time, service time and "old preachers telling old stories in a wonderful time of fellowship one evening.  We had 7 preachers and their wives there, plus over 100 others that attended at sometime during the weekend.
Now, Mary and I get ready for the Five Church Crusade in Jennings, OK that starts this coming Sunday.  Appreciate your prayers!  May the Lord bless each of you!!
