2012, First Meeting, Wamsutter, WY, Wamsutter Baptist Church
We are now back home after our first meeting of 2012!
Wow, God is so good! It is a 1900 mile trip to Wamsutter and back! It was so good to see Pastor Dean Switzer and
his wife Sue. They asked us to stay with them this week so we would not have to pull our trailer through the mountains
in the winter, nor stay in a motel. That was so nice of them and we certainly enjoyed the fellowship, meals and meeting!
We felt the attendance was really good for this time of year, and the last night, God moved in the hearts of four
precious souls to walk the isle, praying to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior! PTL!!! The wonderful
folks of Wamsutter Baptist took very good care of Mary and I, we had good food, including Moose, great fellowship, and
they gave us a very good love offering! Mary and I took turns driving and drove straight through coming
home, and it was not a bad trip at all. 14 1/2 hours on the road, had a nice tail wind, and good travel conditions
except for some slick spots on the passes. We thank the Lord for a great week and again, say thanks to Dean
for having us come and opening up their home to us. We are now back home and received thenews of one
of our church members and good supporters of SCM passed away last night. Our hearts go out to his wife and family! We
all realize the day comes when God calls us home, but when it is very unexpected as this was, it makes it very hard on
the family. Again, our prayers to the family as they work through this time, and we know God will surround them with
His Love. We are now home for a while, but have a busy schedule in front of us. We have a board meeting of
the Lenapah Cowboy Camp Meeting the 20th, preaching at FBC Nowata on the 22, and then preaching in the morning session
of the Oklahoma State Evangelism Conference on January 30th. Thanks for your prayers and looking forward to a
great 2012!!! We had planned on adding a picture, but for some reason we are
having a little problem getting them uploaded. Sorry about that, we will keep trying!

WRONGFUL INFORMATION CAN RESULT IN RUIN
Our hearts have been so burdened these last
few weeks because of what we keep hearing and reading what so many well meaning Christians are saying and writing. They
either do not know the Scriptures or they are misleading people on purpose for self gain or some other reason. Please allow me to explain, and if you stop and search the Scriptures you will understand where we are coming from. You see, we read and hear well meaning people say, "Hey it is ok if you drink, or have made some mistakes.
Do not feel bad, we all make mistakes. Just remember you are a special being, God understands, so do not feel bad, just
get up and keep going." Now there are different ways of saying what we
wrote, but in short that is the message so many are giving. Here is the problem. It is not the whole truth, and
therefore not Biblical. Here is the fact, we are sinners, and sinners can not have fellowship with God. (IS.59:2).
A person that is not Born Again can not be apart of the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3-8). In order for a person to
be Born Again, they have to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, they have to believe in their heart that God raised
Jesus from the grave, and they have to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus. (Romans 10:9-13). They have to repent of the
sin in their life! (Acts 3:19). You see, the problem of not telling people the whole story is they could
die in their sin and be separated from God and good for all eternity. Jesus said the Holy Spirit will convict the
world of sin.(John 16:8). When a person is convicted that he or she is in sin, (doing something that is not right in
God's sight), then they feel bad, hurt, and sometimes feel worthless. That is what God wants! God wants a broken
heart! One that is broken because of sin in their life! Then He can start working in their hearts, but not until
they realize they are lost! We must be careful not to make people think they are ok when they sin, when the truth
is that unless they are Born Again, (saved), (Believed in Jesus) when they die, they will suffer the wrath of God. (John 3:36). What we pray these well meaning people will do, is tell the whole story, not just part of it. Yes, God will
forgive, but first, the person must repent. (turn from the way they are going and turn to God). Remember the Words of
Jesus in Luke 13:3 and again in verse 5, "I tell you nay,but except you repent, ye shall all likewise perish". I pray that those who are leading folks astray, regardless if by accident, on purpose,or just because they do not know the
Scriptures, that they will realize the damage they may be doing just in the interest of making someone feel good. Just
as the Bible says, if we fail to warn them, and they die in their sin, their blood is on our hands. (EZ.33:6), In short, what concerns us is that so many people believe they can continue in sin and God will over look it.
That when they feel bad about the sin, they should just hold up their head and keep going. This is wrong, and doing
very much danger to the hearer of reader of such if they are not a Born Again child of the King! If they are Born Again,
and continue in that sin with out repentance they will pay a price in God not hearing their prayers. IS 59:1-2). Thank you for allowing me to share our feelings about those that are misleading lost people astray. Maybe the
ones that are writing and saying those things mean to be speaking to the Christian, if so, they should say so. If they
are trying to make a lost person feel good because of sin in their life, then that is wrong. We need to share the whole
story of REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS!!
